I’m so glad that you two found a cat cafe and chuckled that you met Grumpy Cat’s Polish cousin. Here’s to a smooth start of your school year, Tom. Renton, I’m sure that your aunt is maximizing every waking moment of your travels together.
Happy Birthday, Tom! I will await a detailed description of the required sequence of libations that one is expected to undertake on one's birthday in Wroclaw.
I think the good bridge pictures are on Cathy's phone--you can't really see the drop-off in the witch/krasnale photo I posted, but those statues are on top of the bridge railing, way up above the street level.
Thanks for taking the time for sharing your life adventure I enjoy reading them. I know life will get busier, so I look forward to your next update when possible.

I don't know about "expected" libations, but the actual libations on and around the various Statz-Pamperin birthdays this month included:
1. Cafe D'Or machiato, cappucino, and milk/espresso iced coffees from the Biedronka (local supermarket)
2. A trio of super-duper fancy drinking chocolates from a "Czekolada" (chocolatier) on the Rynek.
3. A milk chocolate-coffee-salted carmel iced coffee at the same Czekolada, to augment #2 above.
Good stuff!
So interesting! The bridge story reminds me of Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail! 😅 Good luck with the school year!
Happy 1st day of school to you! (And also thankful that we don't prep for every day of school like we do for the 1st day of school!)
Waiting for the pictures from the footbridge!

If Cathy and Renton are interested, the Anne Frank House is well worth the visit. Her actual diary is on display there.

I so enjoy your writing and photos. Makes me almost feel I am traveling again! SJS
